Letter, Jan 11, San Francisco, Calif. [to] Mr. Edwin Markham, New York City. / Rufus P. Jennings. 1904.

Rufus tells Edwin at the committee is issuing a magazine on the resources of Calif and the work the committee has done. He would like him to write a poem relative to Calif and the beautiful state. It is not a money making magazine. It will contain advertising and it is to help increase interest in the state and to have it be attractive from a literary standpoint. He sent Edwin a copy of the volume California Today and San Francisco and thereabout by Charles Keeler.
